a very kind gentleman helped me tremendously with all my newbie questions.
Feeling pumped up to take on this interview (if that were to happen :-)
This is a great tool. It may turn out that I may be using this tool... that will be very cool :-)
If so, I may actually be able to come back here, ask ...

Re: Livecode is a C++ or programming language
Thanks, Richard. I figured that by playing with the LC 9-1 after I wrote the post. Sorry, should have deleted a foot-in-the-mouth post but I will leave it as a reminder for myself to RTFM.
For some odd reason this bulletin board interpreted "LC 9 period 1" string as an external image/link.

Re: Any tutor?
Not a week, about a weekend. Someone who's willing to consider me for an interview with their team.
And this is serious offer. I am not joking or wasting anyone's time here. Hence the sincere request for 1-1 session.
And I think what I am expected to learn and where I am, their expectation is ...

Re: Any tutor?
Thanks Richmond. Any idea what's the blank screen is about? Any pointers to the list of "Essential" and/or "Would-be-nice" that I listed?
Also, I do need to learn LC for an interview, but highly doubt that I will have to use it later. That's why looking for someone to teach me a few specific things ...

Re: Any tutor?
Very thankful, to both Richard and Jacque. Unfortunately, I still can't PM, but if you don't mind PM'ing me about how I can contact you by email/text I will promptly proceed - if you'd like to teach me.

Re: Livecode is a C++ or programming language
I am a complete newbie to LiveCode. But need to learn how to use it quickly. I know C well, C++ not so well. I would love to learn to program in C using LC. Based on this thread and what I found, it doesn't seem like it's possible.
If it's possible to program algorithms (not GUI widgets) then I ...
