Using LiveCode for test automation

Hi all,
Is it possible and practical to use LiveCode for automating testing of websites? Perhaps via an integration with Selenium or Python or some other technology? If so, can you steer me toward a starting point?

I'm also interested in creating a text parser for an interactive fiction game. Like D.
