Re: A beginner’s neverending list of questions
Hi Craig, when setting a stack to FULLSCREEN, you can also set its FULLSCREENMODE. That rules how the stack will be scaled on the monitor. Check the dictionary. When set to LETTERBOX, it will be scaled proportionally to fit to the screen in height or width and the rest of the monitor is left blank,...

A beginner’s neverending list of questions
I don't know if it's a good idea, but rather than spamming the forum with what I anticipate to be numerous separate threads, I thought I'd keep them all here. Without further ado, first question:
1. Is it possible to set the fullscreenmode letterbox colour?

Re: Android preview for LiveCode
Hi CFCFCF, I think you need to check "Android", too, in the "Standalone Application settings..." in menu "File". Then you should be able to test your app on your phone/tablet. Best Klaus Thank you for replying! I had indeed checked that in "Standalone Application Settings..." Turns out it was somet...

Android preview for LiveCode
Hi, I tried setting up Android Studio for LC 9.6.3 (API 29, Build Tools 27.0.3, emulator is running), but nothing happens, the Test button is greyed out.
In any case, you can buld for Android regardless of preview working, right?

No, I mean that's the only thing it has in common with LiveCode the language -- the name. Amazon LiveCode is just a code editor or something like that.

Re: License options for a complete beginner
Ha, ha, ha: a faux Sanskrit font for Ottoman flavour: it would probably rub a lot of Turks up the wrong way: imagine using an Indiany sort of font when Turkish under the Ottomans used a modified Arabic script. Personally if the game turned out to be fun that squiggly writing would not fuss me at al...

Re: License options for a complete beginner
p.s. Given your background, if you come across the first edition of the game, it's definitely gonna rub you the wrong way because it uses a faux sanskrit font for Ottoman flavour

Re: License options for a complete beginner
If you could let us know the name of the app and post a few screenshots to illustrate its functionality that would be great fun. Oh, I haven't published it anywhere, I would've done so (as a free app), but the licence prohibited me from doing so, it's just for my own use for now. It's kinda difficu...

Re: License options for a complete beginner
Thank you so! That's what I intend to do (I'm trying to recreate a boardgame scoring app which I made with one of those Android code blocks apps), I'll report back.
