Tiny Dictionary and Plug-ins Folder in LC 8.1.6 for Linux Ubuntu 16.04
For me LC dictionary is a vital tool, and I have been worried because I have not been able to launch the dictionary in the stable Linux LC 8.1.6 version. So I am thrilled because Tiny Dictionary seems to work for me. It is available at http://livecodeshare.runrev.com/stack/825/TinyDictionary in Live...

Re: How to install LiveCode for Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit
After posting my question I located LiveCode-7_0_0_dp_2 and installed it successfully both on my 32 bit laptop and 64 bit desktop. Installation was smooth. In the 64 bit system installation ended abruptly, but after rebooting HUD found LiveCode as should be expected. So far, it has been happy sailin...

Installing MobGUI - Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit
I wanted to test the MobGuil plugin. However, I do not see the plugin in my Plugins list. I downloaded the plugin: revMobGUI.livecode, __MACOSX folder, and within it the ._revMobGUI.livecode file. I duly created the ~/my_livecode directory, and plugins folder in that directory. Then I placed the dow...

Re: 4.6.4 and Ubuntu Precise
I succeeded in installing my old 4.5.3 LiveCode version on a 64 bit Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) system only after installing ia32-libs packages: sudo apt-get install ia32-libs I do not know if the newer LiveCode versions are also dependent on this packages. Google Earth seems to require the same...
