Virus in Livecode 10 on Windows
Hi all Before writing a bug report, and avoiding false-positive, here is a snapshot of a warning of my virus detection progrqam hinting at a Virus in LiveCode on Windows 11: In my case, the file path is: "C:\Program Files\RunRev\LiveCode 10.0\Runtime\Windows\x86-32\Externals" Anybody had similar war...

Re: Possibly the worst effect of removing the Open Source version.
@bogs 25 Dec. 2024 Putting myself into the shoes of anybody reading this post, I would probably be lost with terms such as MC, FOSS, etc. What do these acronyms mean? And what was the contribution meant to say? New direction of LiveCode If the new direction of LiveCode has no appeal then it w...

Re: Dragdrop message no longer working using Win 11
The situation does not change. The problem continues.
The "dragdrop" messages is never sent.
A workaround: Just place use the message "dragEnter" and work from there:

Re: launching livecode files in Windows in one instance of LiveCode
Richard, the file type is associated with LiveCode.exe, and the registry shows it. Otherwise, it would not show the icon and launch. But maybe something else in the registry is wrong.

Re: launching livecode files in Windows in one instance of LiveCode
@Sparkout @Richard ... Yes, it seems so that it is a problem with Windows only. I should not have to create a workaround. I assume most here are not using Windows otherwise it would already have been a discussion point. Of course, I can open files from the IDE, but it is not as convenient in most ca...

Re: launching livecode files in Windows in one instance of LiveCode
Yes, as I said from the beginning, the relaunch handler only seems to work in a standalone, as the dictionary states. Yes, I am using Windows 11 latest version. Klaus made another observation, but I cannot reproduce. I am uskng .livecodei or .rev as the file extensions.

Re: launching livecode files in Windows in one instance of LiveCode
Just to make sure that I am not mistake, I tested it with three different stacks. The script is in the stack script. The stack is not dependent on any other stack or resources. on relaunch ## end relaunch Now, for example, saving a copy of the stack to the same folder the running stack is located, a...

Re: launching livecode files in Windows in one instance of LiveCode
Yes, I tried exactly this. Even before writing of course. You are on Windows?
That is interesting. Are there any settings that may be different?

Re: launching livecode files in Windows in one instance of LiveCode
Klaus: on relaunch -- quit ---- :-) end relaunch is not recognized in the IDE. It does not fire. I cannot think of any solution that is simply scriptable. When opening a file from anywhere except from inside a running instance, a new instance is started. In some cases, this may be desired. In most c...

launching livecode files in Windows in one instance of LiveCode
In Windows 11 double clicking a .livecode file (application extension:.livecode, .rev) opens that file in a new instance of LiveCode.exe which I want to prevent. I want to open the file in the IDE of the currently executing LiveCode instance as if opening from the IDE. Maybe I have overseen a soluti...

Stamp. thank you... Yes, you are right. There is a wealth of educated people based on top level education. I got most of the developers from the universities. It was a wonderful experience working with such groups of developers, and we really had fun. I think it would be great if it is possible to f...

Offering Development from Ukraine
Today, @Hutchboy wrote in "Re: LiveCode and HyperStudio" regarding the website of HyperStudio which states: "Our hearts are with the people of Ukraine as they defend themselves from the Russian army. Many of our talented staff live and work there, where we've had offices in Kyiv for more than a quar...
