Sovled-- I think -- Bug in Rev. 3

Thanks for the offer Paul. After more hours I decided to remove Rev. 3 manually and then reinstall Rev. 2.9. Guess what, that install worked just fine and I can create stand alones with all my referenced images, etc. just like it is supposed to be. So this has got to be a bug between Rev. 3 and the ...

Hi Mark. Thank you for replying, this is very frustrating. I first noticed this problem when making my first stand alone with Rev. 3. After "importing images as control" worked fine in the development environment but produced transparent working buttons in the stand alone. I then tried referenced im...

Win XP install problems -- what should be installed?

I have traced (I think) my lack of control images (referenced) in standalones to what may be a faulty install of Rev. 3 on my windows XP machine. My Windows uninstaller won't show the "next" button, etc. When Rev. 3 is installed, what folders are created in a standard installation? Where should they...

Thank you. I tried that and it is not helping. I noticed that there was sufficient evidence to warrant going to extremes and reformating my working partition and redoing the operating system. Things appear to be working better but I have yet to try making a stand alone. Hope this clears things up. R...

Control images don't show in stand alone

Hi all. Working in Rev Studio 3 on Windows XP. Things work fine in the development environment however in the stand alone, no control (button) images appear leaving the button working but transparent. I have tried importing images as control; images as reference control and then ensuring that the or...

Have you tried looking at the support pages on their website , or emailing their support team ( support1@dotcomsolutionsinc.net )? Jan Schenkel. Hi Jan. Thank you for the welcome and the pointers. I will contact FM Migrator. I had crawled through their support docs previously. They need to clean up...

FM Migrator Pro -- Table Error -- no primary key in FM 6 DB

Hi. I am working in Rev. STudio 3 with the latest FM Migrator Pro Developer version. I am using a recipe DB to learn the process of FM migration. The FM version is FM 6. Win XP. Converting to SQLite. The issue is that even though there is an ID field in FM ( Recipe ID, number, auto-enter Serial, Can...

Hi Klaus.

I feel an attack of the stupids coming on. Yes, you are perfectly correct. I have been away from Revolution for long enough to forget some of the basics.

My original posting was correct and you have pointed out the major error of my coding.

Thank you

Mark

Thank you Klaus and Chris. I see where I went wrong (several times). I eventually adopted a different way of getting the sum of the list rather than using the sum function. There must be something I haven't found yet that makes the sum function throw an error the way I am trying to use it. Getting t...

Finding (and deleting) the last comma in a list

It has been a long night and still not a simple solution or solution at all. I am taking number data from the lines of a field and putting these numbers (format of xx.xx) into a local tCost. The list of numbers looks like tCost = "10.00,12.06,". I am trying to use the expression: sum tCost to sum th...

Image File Metadata accessibility?

Hi. I have been away from Revolution for a year or so and am just picking up with the current Studio version. I need to integrate Revolution into the workflow of my art conservation laboratory. One of the things I want to explore is what metadata which is entrained in a TIFF or PNG (I haven't actual...
