We're considering using LiveCode 5.0.2 to build an application that will allow us to add interactivity to videos while they're playing. Presumably we can use the timecode of the video to push information to smartphones (via app, Bluetooth or even text if the audience is willing to offer phone numbers), adding depth to documentaries, additional commentary, outtakes and references to external sources. Has anyone tried any such thing, and is this something LiveCode can handle?

if you want to "trigger" several actions/commands at specific times in the movie, this is surely doable!
Check "callbacks" in the LiveCode dictionary.
