Player step buttons change to slider with control key down

When a quicktime player is in a web page you can click on the step buttons while holding the control button on the Mac (or alt key on windows) to get a slider that will allow you to move back and forth in the movie. I can't get the player object to do this in revolution. This also worked in Hypercard. Is there a way to get this control to work?
