Harvest (export) a .wav from a stack?

I have a stack that has two .wav sounds in it. I've been able to copy those sounds from one stack to another but is it possible to export the .wav sounds back out to the Desktop so I may access those sounds in order to do further editing in another app?

Thanks!

Barry

Hi Barry,

this has been discussed on the use-livecode mailinglist some time ago and the sad truth is:
You can't :(

Thanks, Klaus. Upon reflection, I think I do remember the discussion. If I can't find the original .wav files, there's a Mac app named Soundflower that will let me play the sound and capture it to a Quicktime audio file.

If they're embedded they're technically in the old Sun AU format. I've heard of methods using the copy command to extract them, but I believe that also entails stripping portions of the binary header before writing them to disk. Can't say for sure, as I've never tried it myself. If you have a ready solution via playback that's probably simpler.
