Enhanced QT External: Intel-Only?

Does anyone know whether this external is "Intel-only"? I just read the guidelines for submission to the Mac App Store (revUp issue 100), which mentioned that the app, including all its externals, must be "Intel-only".

"All Mac Builds Require to be Intel Only. This means no universal or PPC builds at all, this also includes all externals and helper applications located within your application bundle. I found out the hard way about this! All binaries have to be Intel Only."

I'm not sure whether the question even applies to the Enhanced QT External, but my prospective Mac App submission does use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not "find out the hard way" that I cannot use it.

Have you seen my answer to the same question on the Rev Use List?

Yes, thank you very much, though I hope you won't mind if I ask an additional question, whether your process alters the external itself, effectively "recompiling" it; another way of putting it, suppose an Intel Mac not having the PPC emulation program (is it called "Rosetta"?) but requiring the external: will it still run? If so, I marvel at how. Of course, if it runs, and registers as Intel-only, what's the difference, right? But there's a part of me that tends not to be content with that...

Hi,

Yes, of course it runs. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense.

Kind regards,

Mark
