Return/Enter/Backspace Key Not Working in Mac 10.6 LC 6.7 on

From LC 6.7 on the enter/return backspace keys do not seem to work properly with a generic PC Keyboard attached to a computer running Mac OS X 10.6.8. It seems LC is not mapping the input correctly and I get inserted spaces instead of backspace, or no cr/lf. However It works perfectly fine with LC 6.6.5. Am I the only one with this problem?

If I reboot the computer it seems to work OK with the newer LC versions for a little while. It seems to happen in the script editor, perhaps triggered by the editor.

I attached an old USB Mac keyboard and it works normally in LC 6.7/7.1/8.0dp5, so it seems the problem has something to do with using a generic PC keyboard and newer (>6.6.5) versions of LC on OS X 10.6.8 (I can't test newer OS X versions right now).

I tried a Logitech K400r usb wireless keyboard/trackpad combo and it too works properly. Perhaps the issue is with the USB-to-PS2 adapter that I'm using with the generic (Dell branded) PC keyboard. The strange thing is this keyboard works fine in all other apps as well as in LC 6.6.5 so I'm thinking it also has something to do with the shift to unicode in newer versions of LiveCode.
