LC8 DP 13 Win 7 Can't open new stack with dictionary open

I have placed bug report;
http://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16757
But QC cannot repeat it.

I was wondering if anyone else sees this issue;
Open LiveCode
Launch the dictionary
Go File > New Stack > default size

Now I can't even get to the default size part as the pop-out never shows, cannot start a new stack while the dictionary is open.
This is LC 8 DP13 Win 7
Very repeatable for me

Hi Simon,

I am on MacOSX and have not have problems creating a new stack from the menu with the dictionary open.

I think a new version (DP14) is released within the next days judging from the "fringe festival" on GitHub. .:) A lot of changes/refinements/bug fixing for the IDE coming.

Kind regards
Bernd

Thanks Bernd,
DP13 on Win 7 is the first "usable" release I've seen. During the Global Jam it was a mess, I forget which version that was.

Hi Simon,

tried here on Win7 on a virtual machine. LC 8-dp13 needed a very long time to install but now it works properly. Don't have the problem you describe. Also not with Win10.

Perhaps you have the "wait loop" in the creation of stack and not in the installing of stacks ;)

We shouldn't forget that LC 8 are developer previews. I'm curious to try the first rc-version, hope your problems are gone then ...

Hi Hermann,
Thanks for checking this out. Must be something wrong with my set-up.
Looking forward to the RC.
