The widget in object when it has been set in the inclusions with relative API works correctly. BUT if LC is closed and then opened after some time, when a TEST is started for example, the app crashes.
To restore it is necessary:
1. Turn off Map widget inclusions
2. Start the TEST without Map widget
3. Activate the Map inclusion and set the API Key again
So it works again.
Verified with LC INDY 9.0.3

Re: Widget Map crash APP
Sounds like maybe this reported in the QDB -
If it is the same, you might want to add yourself to the report.kochta@nexgo.de 2018-08-09 11:48:55 BST wrote: map widget bug demonstration
(This behaviour was encountered when deploying to an Android device running Android 8.0.0, by some reasones the highest Android version I could select under point 4 of the bug report was 6.0))
(1) Open Sample Stack in LC INDY 9.0.0
(2) Toogle Map Widget to VISIBLE
(3) Choose Menu DEVELOPMENT > TEST to deploy stack to android device
EXPECTED RESULT: stack deploys, map widget works as expected
OBSERVED RESULT: stack deploys, map widget works as expected
(4) Toogle Map Widget to NOT VISIBLE
(3) Choose Menu DEVELOPMENT > TEST to deploy stack to android device
EXPECTED RESULT: stack deploys, map widget works as expected
OBSERVED RESULT: app crashes on device

Re: Widget Map crash APP
I think it is the same problem!
Re: Widget Map crash APP
Can anyone please confirm the map widget to be working on Android, by using the livecode latest stable release ? It meets my requirements well for the ios but shows an empty map on simulator and Samsung Galaxy Note8. Initially the app would crash without the valid/correct google API keys (used Map API not the other keys to resolve it). Now the app is stable but no maps on drawn in the map widget?
Thanks for all the help in advance.
