Hi all,
I wonder if you guys have also noticed a significant slowdown with RC4 compared to RC2? (MacOS 11.2.3)
RC4 fixes the freezes seen in RC3, but on preliminary test i found it very severely reduces the scrolling speed in the script editor (wasn't super fast with RC2, but now definitely glacial).
More importantly graphics operations (setting backgroundColor/highlights etc) that were instantaneous in RC2 now is very slow in the same stack under RC4 taking 3-4 seconds instead of no perceptive time. This may related to this bug report for RC3: https://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=23117
Is it worth submitting a new bug report for RC4?
9.6.2 RC4 -- poor performance
