LiveCode connect to Dynamics GP with offline capability

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie to LiveCode but I realize that it has great potential and I'm committed to learning.

I have an app to develop and need some help deciding if LiveCode will work for me. The app is targeted at iOS iPad devices and will communicate while connected to the internet with a Microsoft Dynamics GP database. A requirement is that if internet access is unavailable users should still be able to use the app to create orders, lookup customer information, etc. The GP server will be updated with new or changed orders the next time internet access becomes available to the device.

So can this be done with LiveCode and if so can anyone point me to any available resources that explain how its done using this amazing application?
