I am not sure wheter its the correct forum section and wheter its the correct question

What I would like to know:
Is it possibe to import 3D Formats such as OBJ, Collada, FBX into a Stack and process it there like draw it in an engine window, convert it into another format?
Well I ask that because I wasn´t able to find any detailed information how to write an importer in C++ or C# or even revtalk.
If anyone could tell me about dealing with 3D Content with rev using externals or not, any help will be appreciated.
