Hi All,
Is there a way to get the voices by langage on windows ?
P.S: English speakers are always faster

, and it’s been a long time since I’ve managed to be quick enough. To restore fair competition, I suggest that English speakers type their answers while wearing boxing gloves.
Best regard

Bonjour Jean-Marc,
well:
Code: Select all
...
put revSpeechVoices("female") into tLovelyVoices
...
should do the trick.
The new Speech Library will only work on Mac, iOS and Android.
Best

Sorry Klaus for Lemanic english I use,
In my app user must choose an english and a french voice.
The revSpeechVoices function return the list of all voices female or male.
User must heard each voice to find an english or french voice.
Best again

AHA!

Well revSpeechVoices() returns a loooooong list of available voices and looks like this (german system)
...
Amira
Anna
Aru
Schlechte Neuigkeiten
Bahh
Glocken
Boing
Seifenblasen
Carmit
Cellos
Damayanti
Daniel
Daria
Wobble
Eddy (Deutsch (Deutschland))
Eddy (Englisch (UK))
Eddy (Englisch (USA))
Eddy (Spanisch (Spanien))
Eddy (Spanisch (Mexiko))
Eddy (Finnisch (Finnland))
Eddy (Französisch (Kanada))
Eddy (Französisch (Frankreich))
Eddy (Italienisch (Italien))
Eddy (Japanisch (Japan))
Eddy (Koreanisch (Südkorea))
Eddy (Portugiesisch (Brasilien))
Eddy (Chinesisch (China, Festland))
Ellen
Flo (Deutsch (Deutschland))
Flo (Englisch (UK))
Flo (Englisch (USA))
Flo (Spanisch (Spanien))
Flo (Spanisch (Mexiko))
Flo (Finnisch (Finnland))
Flo (Französisch (Kanada))
...
so depending hat it returns on your system you could filter this list with UK/USA/Frankreich(France or whatever your list may display).
Best
