Install 2.7.4 media on Vista

Hello,
I bought 2.7.4 media one year and half ago. My OS was XP
Two months ago, I bought a new PC with Vista (i'm wrong I know) and I try to install 2.7.4 media which I downloaded on web
But the install failed...
Is 2.7.4 media compatible with Vista ?
