Revolution Studio 3.0.0 gm3

Post by GoSm » Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:48 am

Problems with the new version of Rev Studio:

My computer: iMac G5, Software: Mac OS X.3.9
1. the script editor worked sometimes only after several calls - and now has ceased to work (error announcement: Type: can't find handler, Object: revNewScripteditor 1 , Line and Hint: set prefsave)
2. while visual effects ar working the whole screen shows a bad picture
3. after using Rev Studio sometimes the Find-Command of Microsoft Word causes a crash of Word.

I hope, someone can help me! Thank you already now!

Hi Gottfried,

1) If this problem persists, delete Revolution's preferences files. This may fix it temporarily.

2) Wat exactly does "bad" mean? If you don't have QuickTime installed, install it.

3) Is there any particualr reason why you would relate the crash to Revolution?

Best,

Dear Mark,
thank you for your answer.

1. In the meantime I reloaded the whole program, and the script editor now works as before - i.e. with a strange double flashing of the entry fields of the different inspector windows before showing the scripts, but with good results.

2. For example using the wipe effect, all texts in fields and buttons become weak during the working of the wipe effect - it's only for some ticks, but it is not nice, and the phenomenon didn't exist in earlier versions.
Quicktime Player is installed by the normal update service of Apple.

3. Word and Revolution are my favourite programs - and the mistake appeard anly after working with Revolution, never before. Surely that's no proof.

Perhaps I should wait for the next update!

Thank you once more for thinking about my little problems!

Gottfried
