Can anyone explain why when I print a card directly, the printmargins work as set, but if I use 'open printing with dialog' an inch is added to the top and left margin, regardless of the printmargins? I'm using Rev 4.0 Studio and Leopard with a Samsung laser printer. It may be printer specific. I can't tell. If I click on 'Cancel' in the print dialog, it acts the same as if the dialog hadn't been used.

Re: Printing with dialog
Dave,
The printing dialog overrides older settings.
Cancel is supposed to just close the dialog without further consequences.

Mark

Re: Printing with dialog
Thanks for the reply, Mark. Then how does one set margins and use the dialog as well? For example, if landscape is wanted, you'd have no chance to set smaller margins.

Hi Dave,
Can't you use the answer page setup command to create or choose a different, margin-less paper format?

Thanks, Mark. I'm sorry I missed your last reply. I only check this site sporadically, and hadn't noticed earlier. I didn't realize there was an answer page setup. Clearly, that would take care of it.
