Sounds Not working Ubuntu 14.04

This works for me on Ubuntu -

For synchronous playback:

put "aplay "&quote& tFile &quote & " &" into tCmd
get shell(tCmd)

For asynchronous playback:

Code: Select all

put "aplay "&quote& tFile &quote & " &" into tCmd
open process tCmd for neither

Thanks to Monte Goulding for reminding me about "open process".
