What is up with the product pricing for updates?!

Hi RunRev,
I've been a long, long time user of Hypercard, Metacard, Runrev, now Livecode. I bit the bullet and paid the $1,500 for a commercial license for everything back on version 4.5.2. That's the same amount I pay for my home every month to put that into perspective. Now I do understand that it takes time and money to keep something like this going, but having to pay another $1,500 just to get a 4.6.x update seems crazy. Paying that $1,500 again for a major revision like 5.x I can understand, but having to pay for every 4.x update seems overkill and borderline greedy. Paying for new features I understand, but paying for bug fixes and minor updates that should be free is not financially sound for the average person.
I like making my own apps for myself/friends/family, and they should not have to deal with a splash screen when they use my app. They don't because I have a commercial licence, but not all the features I need. I am a long time user, I've grown accustom to having all the features of Livecode, and not the watered down personal edition. I simply don't have the extra $1,500 to spend every 6-12 months when a new minor-version update is released.
Would the employees of Runrev please re-consider FREE updates for each minor revision (4.0->4.X) , (5.0->5.X), and all future version updates. I find myself using other languages more and more now days because I'm not going to pay another $1,500 just to get RSA Crypto support, which is free to use in every other programming language. I also keep finding myself using other languages because they support features (like live audio-input support and manipulation) that Livecode does not. Simply getting a FREE update for my 4.5.2 to the latest 4.6.4 would keep be using Livecode over python+gtk. As it stands I haven't used Livecode for the last 3 months because it doesn't support RSA in 4.5.X, and that's something I need to have and don't have the $1,500 for and update.
I am not complaining, but I am giving you feedback from a long time user who has more frequently found himself using Livecode less and less, and the reason why this is happening. I understand it's your business to run as you see fit, but paying $1,500+ for everything minor-revision is just not affordable for some/most individuals during economically difficult times.
Thanks for the great stuff and listening,
Kyle
