Hi LiveCoders

Today I'm announcing the release of a desktop/server external to translate markdown to XHTML. The external uses the sundown library and supports quite a number of non-standard markdown extensions (like tables). The external is MIT licensed. Source is available at http://github.com/montegoulding/mergMarkdown and pre-compiled binaries are available from a free account at http://mergExt.com.
