how can i scroll a generated list consisting of groups of im

I need some tips on where to start to solve this.

X axis consists of the days in the selected month and Y axis of a series of items which can be selected
by moving the list and thereby select a day and an object.
Just 10 days and 5 items are visible at a time, and the list should be looped so you can scroll in any direction.
I have no idea where to start because I did not have any experience in coding moving objects to any great extent.

All hints and tips are greatly appreciated
