Installing App on different iPads for Testing

Post by pkmittal » Thu Jul 19, 2012 4:32 am

Hi. I have used Live Code 5.0.1 and Xcode 4.2 and have created an iPad App. I have tested the app little bit in simulator.. Now I would like to test on iPad and would also like other to test and see.

If I connect my ipad to mini mac and then drag the app using Xocde Window Organizer then it does not install.. (Because my ipad is having OS 5.0.1 and Xcode 4.2 supports till 5.0 only). I can not use Xcode 4.3 on Live Code 5.0.1

I have got the paid developer account.. I created the distribution package for AdHoc and also for AppStore. What I have understood is that one can NOt put the app on AppStore if the application is not well developed and tested... So to test the app with different people, I think I need to use AdHoc Distribution...

I have created the package using standalone (AdHoc Profile).. Now I need to know how to install the app on different iPads... I drag the app using ITunes on my minmac (which is sync with ipad) but nothing happens.....

How do I download the app on iPad and then how do I install it? How do I ask others to install it? If I send them the app via email.. then how they will copy and install it on their ipad? I did not find this information in Live Code Tutorials.. I would appreciate if some one could guide me..

Thanks
Cheers
Pradeep
