mergext and community edition? mobgui or similar?

Hi All,
Hopefully an easy question. Does mergeExt (and in particular Mergedoc 1) work in the community edition of Livecode? Considering upgrading my projects from 5.5.5 and weighing my options. Mobgui still in its infancy in new version, any viable alternatives for the community edition or do I need to bite the bullet and by the commercial version even though I'm only going to build things for myself (ie not app store).

Hi Dale,

I'm using LC Community Edition 6.1.0 and mergExt. I use mergAV (videos) and mergZXing (barcodes), and they both work perfectly fine. I assume that means that mergDoc will work, but I haven't tested it yet.
