I have so many ideas for apps but the like of styling basic controls is whats putting me off when xcode does this out of the tin, what do other developers do to style their apps native here i no mobgui but no open source version of this yet is their any timeline on native look and feel from within the app

Hi david37ni,
Welcome to the forum :)

I don't know when the "Themes" will be released but it is part of the kickstarter stretch goals.

For now it's easy enough to cut your buttons from a Photoshop file and use them for button icons.
Plenty of free iOS .psd available.
