Setting up the latest SDK from Apple

Running on MAC..

Has anyone managed to get the mobile preferences file to work with the latest installed SDK version 4.2 for lion.

The LiveCode lessons refers to older SDK and therefore the developer directory is different as it will now include OSX and IOS SDK.

Even if you find the Developer root for the IOS SDK you still get the usual error message about not being a valid SDK.

Can anyone help or do I have to only install the older version of the SDK?

Update...

After further research elsewhere it appears LiveCode needs the older SDK. a 2.9GB download from the developer site.

SDK 3.2.4 works fine.

No problem here with Lion + LC 5.0.2 + Xcode 4.2.1 latest versions for everything !

Please explain how you got LC to work with the new version on it's own as mine would not until it regognised the older version in the same directory.

Thanks

I followed instructions exactly. Only one developer folder (standard name and place) containing the standard Xcode
Maybe try to erase developer folder, then redownload Xcode + iOS SDK, then launch LC with standard choice for developer folder, then in development menu choose your test target, and then the button for test should work and your app should work in the chosen simulator
If it is OK until then, generate a standalone with good certificate and then use the organizer to put it on your device

I juste used standard documented procedure (and have an app on the app store already)

Check other messages on this forum ? Maybe a conflict between several developer and Xcode versions ?
Bon courage !

I have just had a response from RunRev.
Apparently as I am using 4.6.3 of LC it cannot work with the latest Apple SDK.

I need to upgrade to version 5.

I think I will just use the earlier SDK which now works.

Thanks anyway.
