iOS App Rejected; iPhonePickMedia of .M4P Fails

Hello All,
We submitted an iOS app for review but were rejected because in our metadata, we stated that we had known issues that the app would quit when using .m4p files.
We can use iPhonePickMedia to chose and play purchased iTunes songs within our app except when we chose .m4p songs (FairPlay), then the app quits without warning.
We've tried to trap "the result" from the iPhonePickMedia command, if it contains a ".m4p" extension, but the app still quits.
Any thoughts how we might pop up a warning and prevent the app from quitting, if a .m4p file is chosen?
Regards,
Jim Little
