Querying iOS disk space

Is it possible to query the available disk space on iOS/Android devices?

I checked out the diskSpace function in the LiveCode Dictionary, but it doesn't seem to be supported on mobile platforms.

I have an app that gives users the option of downloading and storing media files on their device, but it would be nice if I could give them an indication of their available free space at the same time.
