Hi folks,

Venturing into the world of hybrid iPhone4, iphone5, iPad apps...when I make separate apps for each device resolution, it works fine, but when I create a Mainstack stack that checks the machine and resolution, I get this error...

Could not change executable permissions on the application.

The individual iPhone 4, iphone 5, ipad apps works fine, but when I attach them to the mainstack, it does not work. Any ideas what this error is caused by?

Hi Scott,

Could you explain your problem a little further?
Did you ever play around with the .plist files of iOS simulator or LiveCode?
How do you attach your individual apps to your mainstack, as substacks or what?
What is your stack changer code?

Thanks for the link. Someone else's example stack seems to always work better than the one that we create on our own. wonder why...


as to the error message.....Could not change executable permissions on the application.


it happened if I didn't delete the previous instance of the App already on the actual iDevice. I had to delete the old App on the Ipad mini or iPhone 5, for it to work. Something about sandboxing and change to an app onto an old instance of the app on the iDevice.

Moving forward. At least now One App on all three devices, iPhone/ipod, iphone 5, iPad
