Simulator Iphone 5

I am confused about the 6.1 iPhone simulator in the Development menu of LC....Is the simulator screen size I am looking at 320x480 (iPhone 4) or something else or am I just missing the point entirely? I am sooooo confused about getting my applications to look and run correctly on all screen sizes...I basically asked this question in the mobGUI thread and was directed to the help section (which I might add is lacking) and still I have no answers....I would like to see what my app does and looks like on the i5 but short of buying one for development purposes, I have no idea what to do....

Hi Kenny,
OK, I've seen that you asked this question in different ways and not received an adequate response.
Screen resolution is the problem, unless you have a retina (high density (pixel)) Mac, the simulator will not give you an accurate view.
I'm sure you have looked at this thread:

Check out the Chipp Walters link to see how he does it and his plugin. Graphic quality is done in the IDE not the sim.
I guess basically you have to start off with the graphics at 2x size. This is not going to be easy for you as you have so many buttons and I'm not sure of how much mobGui is helping you here. And you still have to go through all of the re-sizing stuff.

I quick test would be to use the iPad as your simulator? :idea:

Even on 7 mile drives, iphone 5 (6.1.3) gets alarmingly hot when waze runs. Never when waze is off. Same trip with google maps, GPS active (obviously), no unusual heating. Seems to be the Waze app?
