App submission for iOS 7

Post by DRJ-UK » Wed Sep 11, 2013 8:52 pm

Colleagues

With the imminent release of iOS7 sometime soon along with the recent email to developers inviting submissions for updated Apps, there is likely to be a short-term issue for LC users. Has any developer installed iOS 7 on iPad and iPhone and tested Apps built with LC for 6.1 upwards? Do they work OK (apart from the differences in icon sizes that is?).

Another topic on the forum seems to confirm that 64 bit iOS 7 is backward compatible with 32 bit (most helpful).

At present. LC builds do not include the option for the new icon sizes (76 pixel square or 152 pixel square) and the latest release LC 6.1.1. will not recognise the iOS 7 SDK included in Xcode 5. Presumably they will need the "old" and the "new" sizes included in the bundle to cater for iOS 6.1 and iOS 7.

Sure the RunRev team will have this in hand but does anybody have some news about transition?

I think they even "back fixed" to 5.5 but you had to get an update.
