Add UDID of iOS simulator?

Post by Simon » Sat Oct 25, 2014 9:00 pm

Hello iOS peeps,
I've been having troubles distributing my apps to testers and wondered if anyone has used one of their provisioning profile slots to add the iOS simulator.
I've got it's UDID (same as Mac Hardware UDID but mine is padded with 0's).
I don't have an iOS device that I can upgrade to 8.1 so I thought this might be a solution?

Thanks for any help,
Simon

using the developer.apple.com, you can add new devices using their UDID. But I believe you have to delete the provisioning profile for the app or make a brand new one. Making a new development provisioning profile allows you to add the new devices.

Hi scotttyang,
Thank you for your reply but my question is not how to add a new device but if the simulator can be used to download and run a TestFlight type installation.
