Hi,
I wanted to check if everybody else is seeing the same result. My app in LC 6.7.8 the file size is 1.1 mb and the standalone is 10.2 mb. The exact same app in 8.0 dp 9 the standalone is 27 mb. Are we going to be stuck with our apps almost tripling is size? Hopefully someone from LC will chime in.

HI Tom,

Yes, there is quite a large overhead with the implementation of unicode within LC 7/8 so this will be one of the main reason for the increase in standalone size. This has been reduced in size, quite a bit, as the full unicode implementation was resulting in 50MB+ standalone.
