On the Apple developer site I generated a development Provisioning profile.
The status shows "Active" with the bright Green dot to the left.
All of my other profiles show "Active (Managed by Xcode)".
Is this a problem? Earlier today I registered a new test device. I was unable to install the app on that device. (i got the "The executable was signed with invalid entitlements" message)
I came home and looked things over and realized that the Profile I had used to build the standalone was only good for 4 devices and the one I registered today was the 5th one.
That's when I generated a new Profile and included all 5 devices but the new profile doesn't say it is managed by xcode. The app installs fine on my phone but I don't want to bother the guy with the 5th device if it isn't going to work.
Help Please.
Tom

Hi,
In Xcode go to Preferences and in the widow click view details. There will be a list of your profiles. See if you have any with old dates but the same name. This is where you should download your profiles.

Thanks Tom,
I using xcode to download the profile results in the same problem.
I have both development and distribution profiles with the Active and not managed by xcode.
See the attached Screen shot.
Thanks Tom

Hi Tom,
The IOS Team profile is created by Xcode and it's not one you need to deal with. From the pic it looks like you have only created a distribution profile. So you don't have any development profiles?

Re: Provision profile Active (but not managed by Xcode)
Hi Tom,
Yes I have some of both. The point I was making was the Managed by Xcode and the lack of Managed by xcode to the right of the green button.. The shot was just of 2 of my profiles.
I guess everything is ok as I just an hour or so ago successfully uploaded my app to iTunes Connect for approval.
Thanks Tom.
