Developer Certificates on a new Mac

I've been without a desktop Mac for quite awhile; I've been using my laptop for everything. I've just ordered a Mac Mini, which will be delivered in a few days. Meanwhile I'm about to update my Apple Developer Certificates and Provisioning Profiles. Are the Certificates and Profiles linked to a specific Mac? Would I be better off waiting for my desktop machine to arrive?
