iPhonePickPhoto - can/does it save to the camera roll?

I want to make sure that the pictures that get taken with iPhonePickPhoto will be saved to the iphone for use in other apps and such.
I don't have an apple developer license yet. I'm trying to develop as much as I can before paying for my 1 year apple developer license.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so, they are part of your stack after importing.

There should be a way to save new pictures into the users camera roll/photo gallery. I believe I've seen apps in the app store that do this.

The official answer I got from a support email is "not yet, but it is a feature that is coming soon".
