Mixed licences

Post by skindoc4 » Fri Apr 29, 2011 3:42 am

Hi

I have a commercial license for the desktop but a personal one for iOS. I only get the green line of death - trial version only, buy deployment version - when I go to compile a stack in iOS. I don't know how to integrate the personal iOS license into 4.6.1 - any advice?

Thanks

Alex

Not tried it but maybe installing to a different subdirectory might work?

Hi Alex,

I also experienced this (same license constellaton) and it is just too ridiculous, but LiveCode cannot manage two different licenses!

You can of course work with LiveCode without problems, but when it comes to creating standalones/compiling you have to decide
WHAT license you want to use!

That means you will have to "Re-license Livecode" (menu Help) EVERY TIME in order to compile for:
desktop -> Commercial
or personal -> iOS

Sad but true :cry:

I did not try to use two different versions of LiveCode, but I doubt that this will work anyway.

So I finally ended up buying a commercial iOS license, too.
Of course not only because of this dilemma 8)

Best

Klaus

Hi Klaus

Thanks - how ridiculous. I'll download a second copy of Livecode and see how I go.

Regards

Alex
