How to get Pinch action NOT for zoom

I'm wanting to simply hide a field when a user uses a pinch motion within a certain area. I have three groups on one card and want the user to be able to pinch one of the groups in order to make it disappear. A nice animation that makes it look like it's shrinking with the pinch would be ideal, but I'm just trying to get the main action down first and can't seem to find anything on getting a pinch action but NOT zooming in on something. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
