Hello,
I'm wondering why all OSes icons (Android, Mac, iOS, Win, Linux) disappeared from livecode website. The most important feature of livecode is its cross platform capability! Now reading website, livecode seems identical to the tons of languages that try to substitute Java for Android.
What do you think?
Why OSes icons disappeared?

Re: Why OSes icons disappeared?
Hi,
I believe I have to agree with you. From the front page, it isn't immediately (and I mean at the blink of an eye) clear what LiveCode is and it is definitely not immediately clear that this is about a cross-platform, easy-to-use programming tool. This makes me think that most people who visit the website leave it within seconds. The website needs improvement.
Kind regards,
Mark

Re: Why OSes icons disappeared?
Agreed. When I first found (as it was at the time) Runtime Revolution, I was googling a way to make something work with FileMaker. It turned up an article by (I think) Kevin, which then led me to the runrev site, and from there to becoming enthusiastic. If I had come to the current site, I would never have tried it out. The old site had flaws, but it told you what you needed to know. And, made it simple to find the download.

OK - that made me go look...
OMG - I didn't think the web site could be dumbed down any farther than it was.
Seems I was wrong.
