Revolution on a PDA?

Post by Ron Zellner » Sun Oct 19, 2008 4:28 am

Are there any PDAs that will run Revolution stacks? Like a Pocket PC, etc.? I have a unit in my graduate class where the students prototype a research project for use on a Pocket PC. Since they don't own a Pocket PC I have them use emulator software; however, they use Revolution in another assignment so I could consider a Revolution product for the PDA assignment as well. My hope is that they will continue to use the development software once the class is over (like in their dissertation)

As far as I know there is no mobile device smaller then the new subnotebooks (called netbooks) that can run rev. This is because rev needs a full OS, and doesn't run on any of the mobile variants (mobile linux, pocket pc, iphone os, palm os, ...) But if you find a handheld that has a full linux installation, then it could work with the usual linux penalty (fiddling for hours to get it work).
