No more Rent Option ?

I first learned about LiveCode few months ago and was fascinated. I always wanted to develop apps but my programming is nonexistent. But, I couldn't start straight away because I had exams and other personal reasons. Now, I have free time before next term start, I came here for livecode. But, I can't find rent option anymore. If I remember correctly, there was a option that I can rent livecode with a monthly fee few months ago. But, the store now only offering 330£ as the cheapest option. Or did I miss it ?

I am a student and don't really have extra 330£ right now. Also, I thought it was a good idea that I can try out the live code with affordable monthly fee. I haven't done my homework on runrev yet but I thought I read somewhere that they raised about half a million and developing an open source or something. I am confused because it was like charity fundraising than a company raising capital. Perhaps I remember it wrong.

Anyway, it seems I am gonna have to wait now or do something else. Will you be bringing back the rent option ?

Yes! Free is great.

The only thing you have to watch is the fact that you have to give away your source code with any apps that you distribute. But for in house / educational use open source works well.

To see when you need and don't need a commercial license, go to http://livecode.com/support/ask-a-question/,
then click on the top FAQ. (Can you give me some examples of where I do and don’t need a commercial license?)
