[OT] Current Cool set up for PIC microcontroller

Hi,
Yeah I know I can search the interweb but I'd like to see who else here in the liveCode forums has been working with PICs.
I guess it's been about 10 years since I last used a PIC (at the time, programming was by serial cable only).

What is the current state of PICs?
Do they have a higher language yet?
Where do you purchase a full on stater kit today?

Thanks,
Simon

Simon.

I have used PIC's for in-house controllers. The languages are basic-like.

Have you checked out Bonig und Kallenbach's "Service USB Plus". It comes with a LC framework. Talk about fun.

Hi Craig,
fischertechnik Sweet!
I knew that you had worked with PICs before, done anything interesting with them lately?

Anyone else?

Simon

Simon.

They do have Fischerteknik stuff.

But it is the Service USB Plus that I was talking about.

Hi Craig,
Ok yes, the Service USB Plus is cool, which liveCode external is used?
It's way to big for my PIC projects but does seem like a lot of fun.
