I have had great success implementing the revSpeak and related functions using Rev 3.0. What I would love to find is a "voice" that can speak Spanish. I realize I can have one of the featured voices read Spanish text, but it is not authentic sounding.

I can use wav files for standard text, but need text-to-speech functionality for dynamic content (specifically, monetary amounts). Is there anything out there that might be of use?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed

Holá Ed,

If you use Windows, please have a look at:

http://www.microsoft.com/reader/de/downloads/pc.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/reader/de/downloads/tts.mspx

There I found a good german one

good luck

Hi Horst,

Thanks for the links. I use a Mac to develop cross-platform applications. I looked at the links you provided and now realize that I need a solution to run inside of Rev (I think). I could use 3rd party T2S software and make calls to it, but I would have to independently develop for each platform (Mac & PC).

It seems like my best bet is to record all the possible speech permutations and call them as needed.

Thanks,
Ed

For OS X TTS - (text to speech) there is a 3rd party Accessibillity resource page.

http://www.apple.com/accessibility/reso ... acosx.html

may be worth a look.
