Home Stack port

Post by ooper » Wed Sep 29, 2010 6:32 am

Hi,
Has anyone been able to port the HyperCard "Home" stack into LiveCode? If so, would you mind sharing it?
Thanks,
/Carl

i tried to do it myself--I see what you mean :)
Just for the fun of it, i set up a Mac emulator with Hypercard 1.25. It was like seeing an old friend -thought dead- again. Great memories!

Anyone know where I can get a working floppy drive that can read 400k/800k disks? (I'm only half kidding, I would like to get my old HC stacks back that I haven't seen in 20 years).

I was able to port the 1.2.5 Home stack to LiveCode.

I'm still porting the other stacks that come with the HyperCard distribution. It's slow progress...wanna help?

The easiest way is to run HyperCard on an emulator (mac or windows). It worked perfectly for me. You'll need a Mac ROM, but the link below will give you some pointers.

As for your stacks, create disk images and open them as floppies in your emulator and then copy them to the emulated drive.

send me an email at ooper1@hotmail.com. I can send you the port.
