Device with integrated barcode scanner

It might interest you.

I start to use an Android device (5.1) with a integrated barcode scanner : OCBS-D8000

Very usefull with apps written with LiveCode (although I had some problem to "catch" the data, with the virtual keyboard poping up, look at my previous messages).

Bought a few from this company (Hong Kong) via their Alibaba website. 350 USD plus delivery.

Battery life looks ok.

With Android 5.1, the connexion to a PC is very simple. Easy to copy .apk files from the PC.

A small app allows to set a few parameters for the barcode scanner (for instance, prefix or suffix character [return, tab or other])

For the moment, I read only Code 39 barcodes.

I think this device is a good alternative to more expensive terminal.
