Android Custom URL Schema doesn't launch - UPDATE

Hi all, I have set the Custom URL Schema for my APP which works fine on iOS but doesn't on Android. I wonder what could I be doing wrong.

Just to test it in the simplest possible form on iOS I use Safari to call the APP ("webme://") with the name I used in the Custom URL Scheme field of the stand alone settings and it is run as expected.

On Android I do the same from Chrome and instead of opening the APP it does an Internet search !!!

Still on Android if I call the APP using

launch url "webme://"

it brings me a black screen and stays there forever

If I open the same APP (where the Custom URL Scheme is set to "webme") by manually clicking on it, it opens/runs as expected

I'm using LC 9.6.9 and running Android 10 on a TvBox

UPDATE:
- I was installing without signing the APP, when I installed with my registered key it worked (just once) when using Firefox instead of Chrome
