Looking to Deploy App with Twitter Integration

Post by jderocher14BUSNdQk » Mon Feb 18, 2013 12:26 am

Hello all,

I am developing an application that I want to put out to the Android market. I have a good understanding of databases, and have successfully connected to a server I've set up. The next step in my project is to allow users to log in with Twitter and then use the Twitter API for some language to feature some basic Twitter usage tools (Login Account ID, switching between accounts, Posting, using oAuth, etc.).

I have only been working with LiveCode for just over a month, but after some extensive research, my options seem to be less and less satisfying. What are my options at this point? I believe there was some sort of Embedded LiveCode as a last result, to implement my stack into a standalone Android/iOS project.

Would that even serve my purpose? Can somebody help me by listing my options for Twitter access & integration?

I just want to see if there's something I am missing. Thanks for your time - it is much appreciated.

It can be done but probably not after only a month of use :) Andre Garzia has a fledgling Twitter library. You might want to try it or contact him. http://www.andregarzia.com/page/socialsuite

If anybody has been successful with Twitter POST/GET with API 1.1, please contact me (jderocher14(AT)my.whitworth.edu).

Thanks,

James
