I am not signing my app, so this should not be an issue.

It appears to be a general issue with the Android SDK, rather than a specific Livecode thing.

Some of the answers on Stack Overflow, or the Google Group might lead you in the right direction.

Ive had this a couple of times when ive switched from the developing certificate to the one I use for release.

For the real devices I just delete the app from the phone, quit livecode, restart livecode and then test again and it works fine.

For the simulator I just tend to delete the AVD and create a new one as they can run out of storage space pretty quickly which can cause all sorts of wired issues, but you can just create a new simulator easily enough.

Thanks for the guidance guys! I solved it by being stubborn and shaking the SDK a couple times.

just how did you 'shake the SDK' ?
i've just installed El Capitan and I've not had this problem previously

I've update to 7.1.0 and I tried 8 also but I still get the same message dialogue. I add this has only occured after upgrading to El Capitan.
